PRESS RESET: Ruin and Recovery in the Video Game Industry is out now
I’ve been waiting to write these words for like two years: Press Reset: Ruin and Recovery in the Video Game Industry is now out in stores. You can get it in physical, digital, and (next week) audiobook form. You can buy it on Amazon, Bookshop, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, or wherever else you like to buy your books. I’m really proud of it and I think you’ll really enjoy it.
If you’re on the fence, there are some great reviews out there. Ars Technica calls it “highly recommended” and “rich with the drama you might expect from a book about massive, money-fueled game companies facing duress.” The Verge says the book is “often bleak but also intriguing, hopeful, and sometimes darkly funny.” The AV Club says it’s “meticulously researched and briskly presented.”
I also recently did interviews with The Washington Post, IGN Unfiltered, and Bloomberg Radio among others. (One highlight of the press tour was going on How Did This Get Played to talk about Mario Is Missing!, one of the worst video games I’ve ever played in my life.)
Hope you like the book! Now I’m off to figure out what’s next…
Best,
Jason
